Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of dailycryptic.coand the Daily Cryptic iOS app (together, the "Service"), run by Daily Cryptic ("we", "us"). By using the Service — free or as a Plus member — you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your access secure — you're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Plus & billing

Plus unlocks the full catalogue — weekly and prize crosswords, guided lessons and the puzzle archive. It's billed monthly or annually through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel anytime from your account settings; we don't offer refunds for partial billing periods. (Subscriptions bought through the App Store are billed and managed by Apple.)

Content & intellectual property

Our puzzles, hints, guides, branding, design and code are owned by us — or, in the case of publicly available clues, used and attributed appropriately. You may enjoy them for personal use, but not copy, reproduce or redistribute them without our permission.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, abuse other people, or attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with how it works.

Third-party links

The Service may link to other sites or publications. We're not responsible for their content, and a link isn't an endorsement.

Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted under UK law, we're not liable for errors in puzzles or clues, interruptions or bugs, or any damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access at our discretion, particularly for a breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we'll let you know via the site or email, and update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the changes.
